Beatriz González — Diario del Guernica

33.00 EUR

In 1981, Columbian artist Beatriz Gonzaléz (b. 1938, Bucaramanga, Colombia) realized her own version of Picasso’s Guernica—a 12-meter tile mural named Mural Para Fábrica Socialista. Over the course of its year long production, Gonzaléz documented her daily toil, unfolding research, creative process, and occasional musings. Diary of Guernica / Diary of a Senseless Work presents her original handwritten diary, with Spanish transcription and English translation, mapping the twists and turns of this kaleidoscopic mind. It was printed in a limited run of 500 copies, and published by Zulu Press with support from La Oficina del Doctor c. 2018.
